project is located in the Castlefield area.Castlefield is located to the west of Manchester and originated from a Roman castle built in 79 AD.Since the 18th century, two artificial canals have flowed through Castlefield. Many warehouses and docks have been built along the prosperous canals. Castlefield has also become the birthplace of industry by virtue of its water transportation advantages.With the construction and extension of railways, many viaducts of brick and cast iron structures were built in this area, making the advantages of water and land transportation more prominent.The criss-crossing artificial canals, railway viaducts and red brick warehouse buildings formed the Castlefield-style industrial urban landscape of this period.
