Twickenham Stadium, built in 1909, is the largest rugby union stadium in the world and has hosted the Six Nations and the Rugby World Cup, as well as the annual varsity match between the old rivals Oxford and Cambridge. After many renovations and expansions, it can now seat up to 82,000 spectators. As a dedicated rugby stadium, it has hosted not only Rugby World Cup matches, but also concerts by artists such as Bon Jovi, U2, Iron Maiden and REM, to name but a few. Whenever there is an event, fans or followers come from all over the globe and they celebrate in Twickenham's pubs with a lively atmosphere.
